Finding a job isn’t always easy.
It can be especially difficult in a changing economic climate. Yet, as well as the South West region being a popular tourist destination offering potential job opportunities in the hospitality sector, there are a wealth of small- and medium-enterprises looking to employ local people across a range of diverse industries.
2B Ready offers free-of-charge courses provided by Upton Vale Baptist church to serve the needs of our local community for people seeking work.
We run two courses:
POST-EDUCATION
JOBSEEKERS
A course that combines practical advice and guidance to prepare jobseekers who have been out of work for an extended period or are having difficulty getting started in the job market.
STUDENTS
IN EDUCATION
A course for schools to prepare 16-to-18-year-olds for the job market that combines practical advice with tried-and-tested brain-training techniques. Note that this course will be available from January 2025.
Coaches and tutors who are already licensed to use the 2B Ready course will be provided with secure access to the Portal.
Courses are informal and coaching support for applications and interview preparation is part of the programme. In addition, 2B Ready courses are available to license for use by other churches or organisations on request.
